This varied bike tour takes you from the beer town of Bitburg to the district of Bitburg-Matzen and on across fields and meadows to the Roman Villa Otrang in Fließem. It is one of the largest and best preserved Roman villa complexes north of the Alps.

The journey continues through the surrounding villages of the beer town Bitburg with its old, renovated farmhouses.

On the second section of the route, you will be accompanied by the Nims River. The soothing babbling encourages you to pause for a moment and take a break. In Rittersdorf, it is worth stopping at the 700-year-old Wasserburg Rittersdorf, which houses a privately run restaurant serving fine country cuisine.
