Start at the train station in Usch/Zendscheid (on the Kyll). Immediately next to the parking lot, we walk uphill to the ring road and follow it to the main road. On the left-hand side, we pause for a moment at the Sankt Walburga chapel (built in 1780) before heading up the relatively steep Schulstraße, past the Berghof farm and crossing the K 126. We continue uphill below the Altenhof district in the direction of Densborn to the rescue point (RP) 5805-672 and turn right. After the footbridge over the Dörrbach, we come to the L33 country road. Unfortunately, we have to walk on the relatively dangerous road until we reach the L 24 (direction Kyllburg) (please turn left). On the way, we see the Densborn moated castle on the right, first mentioned in 1290 (now privately owned). At the main road, on which the Kyll valley cycle path also runs in the village, we turn half-left, still on the main hiking trail, the Josef-Schramm-Weg (4), to Schulstraße. After a few steps, we leave the Josef-Schramm-Weg and continue straight ahead on Schulstraße, which is followed by a long forest path uphill to the hut at RP 5805-676. There we turn right and see the small chapel at the Nollbergerhof.

As we continue along the path with wonderful views, we return from the Vulkaneifel district to the Eifel district and see the remote Friedbüsch district of Zendscheid on the left before we reach RP 5805-675 and follow the paved village road. A detour to the St. Marien chapel, built in 1887, is recommended. We descend again via the Josef-Schramm-Weg (4) to the Kyll bridge, cross the Kyll valley cycle path and the railroad tracks, turn right to reach our starting point after a few steps.
