Current information on cycle paths in the Bitburger Land holiday region:

Most of the cycle paths in the Bitburger Land holiday region are passable again after the storm in July. Only the section from Speicher to Trier-Ehrang on the Kyll cycle path is closed and cannot be bypassed. Diversions are still being worked on.
The railway line from Trier to Kyllburg is passable again.

***************************************************

Numerous cycle paths run along the river valleys, offering something for everyone. Leisure cyclists and families enjoy the routes on the former railway lines, which have only a slight gradient. Athletic cyclists choose one of the routes that leave the valley and lead over the heights of the Eifel. Those who prefer a more comfortable ride can switch to an e-bike: electric bikes can be rented at the tourist information office in Bitburg.

Kyll Cycle Route

Due to road works, we recommend cyclists to use the Deutsche Bahn between Auw an der Kyll and Kordel.  In addition, a diversion is signposted there along the route, which is approx. 6 km long and has an ascent of around 180 metres in altitude.

There is currently a rail replacement service between Kyllburg and Gerolstein. The number of bicycles that can be taken on the buses is limited.
