They come from France and have swing in their blood. They excite with their music, speak to the feelings of those present, and spread good cheer.  In short: Summer feeling.

The adventure of these artists began in 1995 with several musicians, mostly of Polish origin, all influenced by Gypsy music. With the entry of musicians from jazz, ISKRA's repertoire gradually evolved towards the Gypsy jazz initiated by DJANGO REINHARDT. Iskra offers two programs: The first consists of a mix of traditional Gypsy music and Gypsy jazz. The second consists exclusively of Gypsy jazz.

The five musicians share their passion through music, in which everyone brings their own personality, both in the interpretation and in the improvisations that develop over time with the musicians' imagination. Iskra is vibrant music that updates melodies and transports you to a universe where dreams become freedom.

ISKRA will perform on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, starting at 7 PM on the stage in the Bedagarten. In case of unfavorable weather, the performance will take place in the festival hall of Haus Beda. Admission is free.

The Summer Jazz Festival 2026 in Bedagarten is a community event of the Jazz Initiative Eifel, the Cultural Community Bitburg, and the Dr. Hanns Simon Foundation.
