“In my world, Helmut Nieberle is one of the most important musicians,” says Patrick Schichtle, guitarist and bandleader of Your Daily Jazz Trio. He clarifies: The jazz guitarist and composer from Regensburg was the catalyst for his development as a jazz musician and became a lasting musical inspiration for him.

Three years ago, Patrick Schichtle then founded his own band – Your Daily Jazz Trio – with Bertram Liebmann on double bass and Theo Wolf on drums. Guitar, bass, and drums bring swinging jazz music with a fresh sound and a wide musical horizon that encompasses tango, bossa nova, choro, as well as waltzes from around the world.

In this sense, the compositions of Helmut Nieberle have had a firm place in the band’s repertoire from the very beginning. Now, as the next step, an album featuring selected pieces from his work in the arrangements and inspired interpretations of the trio will be released in 2025. A brand new Nieberle project, in which Your Daily Jazz Trio fuses intense interplay and exciting solos in a melodically swinging and dancing groovy rhythm.

Monday Night Jazz takes place on Monday, March 2, 2026, starting at 8 PM in the Jazz Ballroom at the Bowling Center Bitburg, Charles-Lindbergh-Allee 5. Admission is free.
