Fließem
The Villa Otrang was one of the numerous estates around Roman Trier. Settled in the 1st century AD, it was extended several times until it finally had 66 rooms with bathing facilities at ground level. The villa was destroyed in late antiquity. In 1833, the Prussian Crown Prince and later King Frederick William IV visited the villa. He had special protective houses built for its remains and especially the beautiful mosaics, which are also listed today.
