Bitburg
If they don't like it, of course. Frank – he is the fictional musical scapegoat of the band, responsible for everything. Blame it on Frank is a band from the region, experienced and professional.
Their music is sometimes funky, sometimes bluesy, sometimes lively, sometimes jazzy, always groovy, always beautiful!
This, or something similar, could describe the music of ‘…blame it on Frank!’
You can't just pigeonhole the band, as is often the case, into a single music genre, because this 6-member formation simply plays whatever they feel like.
No mainstream, no Top 40s..., no box fits just right. Actually completely conceptless, but with a lot of taste for beautiful sounds and grooves, full of energy, inviting you to bob along.
For the most part, the program consists of refreshed, covered songs from, for example: Sting, The Police, Chick Corea, Mezzoforte, Marcus Miller, Kraan, Hellmut Hattler, Bruce Conte (Power of Tower), Depeche Mode, among others.
Some original compositions have also made their way into the program, and more are coming!
Four of the six musicians played together in various musical constellations over 40 years ago and have now found each other again after a long time (life somehow got in the way). With Esther Millward as the singer and Jürgen Kill on saxophone, the band is complete!
Esther Millward (vocals), Erhard Hoffmann (keyboards), Michael Weins (guitars and sound snippet machine), Frank Heinrichs (drums), Jürgen Kill (saxophones) and Richie (bass guitar) give each song their pleasant, listenable stamp. You can see and hear the band's refreshing joy of playing in every second! This formation has fun and makes fun!
Blame it on Frank will perform on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, starting at 7 PM on the stage in the Bedagarten. In case of unfavorable weather, the performance will move to the festive hall of the Haus Beda. Admission is free.
The Summer Jazz Festival 2026 in Bedagarten is a joint event of the Jazz Initiative Eifel, the Cultural Community of Bitburg, and the Dr. Hanns Simon Foundation.
