On Sunday, August 24th, the Men's Choir/Church Choir "Cäcilia" Meckel invites you to its traditional summer festival starting at 11:30 AM. The festival takes place in and around the Meckel youth center, coinciding with the fair Sunday on the occasion of the name day of the church patron St. Bartholomew.

Already on the evening before, Saturday, August 23rd, the celebrations will begin with the tapping of the keg at the beer stand. The keg tapping will take place - hopefully in the best weather - under the walnut tree by the parish hall.

Sunday morning starts at 10:30 AM with a festive service in the parish church.
Around 11:30 AM, the MGV/Church Choir invites all guests from near and far to the breakfast gathering in the Meckel youth center.

Starting at 12 PM, the Gasthaus Herrig will offer the traditional fair meal that belongs to an "Eifel fair." Additionally, French fries and bratwurst will be available.

Brass music at its finest

The music association "Eifelland Röhl," under the musical direction of Mathias Gehenzig, will provide the musical program starting around noon. At 3 PM, the "Original Eppischofer Musikanten," led by Markus Dahm, will ensure musical entertainment. Both music associations will offer a varied and colorful program: Whether traditional brass music, marches and polkas, or modern entertainment music from rock and pop, there is something for every musical taste here.

The "little sweet" must of course not be missing. In the afternoon, the Meckel women will serve coffee and homemade cake specialties. For the youngest guests, the association will set up a bouncy castle.
