This route is the middle route of the 3 Nordic Walking parks at the Bitburg reservoir. The route of approx. 7 km starts at the car park/Ferdi's Bootshaus at the Bitburg reservoir. From there, head towards the Dorint Seehotel, past the resort's apartment buildings, through the forest towards Hamm Castle and back to the reservoir. 

The signposting of the course is divided into colours: blue for the short route, red for the medium route and black for the long route.
At the starting point there is a large sign giving an overview of the courses and the basic movements of Nordic Walking. 

The reservoir near Biersdorf, located in the scenic valley of the Prüm, is the tourist centre of the southern Eifel. The 35-hectare reservoir offers a wide range of leisure activities such as pedal boating, rowing, paddling and fishing. A special attraction is the fountain in the middle of the lake, which can be seen in summer. The approximately five-kilometre-long lakeside promenade invites you to take a stroll. Several pubs, restaurants and cafés are located in the immediate vicinity
