Leisure and Animal Park "Eifelpark"
Gondorf
WILD ANIMALS AND LEISURE – THE PERFECT DAY OUT
Covering an area the equivalent of around 100 football pitches, Eifelpark Gondorf is a unique combination of amusement park and wildlife park. More than 60 attractions and over 200 wild animals make Eifelpark the perfect destination for families with children, hiking days for school and nursery school classes, senior citizens’ trips and exciting group excursions.
On the new Pirate Island log flume, you can enjoy an action-packed and refreshing ride in a tree-trunk boat along the 360-metre-long water channel with two “splash-downs” from a height of up to 14 metres. The sledges on the “Eifel Coaster” summer toboggan run glide down into the valley at a speed of up to 40 km/h. The nearly 1000-metre-long railway line makes use of the unique topography of the Eifelpark and is perfectly integrated into the beautiful park landscape that is typical for the southern Eifel region.
Other ride highlights are the lightening-speed rollercoaster Käpt’n Jack’s Wild Mouse, the world’s first Pirate’s Canon Ride, the Chair-O-Plane, the family rollercoaster, the wild-water circuit, the Pony Express, the Gondorf Pirate’s Battle as well as two dodgem rides for children and the young at heart. Even the really little ones will have lots of fun: the construction site ride, the mini-test track and the Eifel Piste are suitable for children aged 2 and over. In the puppet theatre, young and old fans alike will enjoy thrilling adventures with Mr Punch, the robbers and Purzel.
In the spacious enclosures, stags, deer, brown bears, wolves, lynx, meerkats, wallabies and many other wild animals can be observed up close. Join the keepers for the feeding of the bears, wolves and lynx, and learn lots of interesting things about the animals. Sandro the dog trainer will enchant you with his new four-legged friend show, the form of which is exclusive to Eifelpark.
Adventure and themed playgrounds, for example the climbing garden, Tatze’s Wild West, Tapsi’s Castle Tower, Purzel’s Pirate Paradise and lots of playground facilities for toddlers provide a whole range of opportunities for carefree playing, letting off steam and discovering things. Splashing around in the large-scale water playground is always lots of fun – not just on hot days. And in the excavator playground your little ones can move around a whole lot of gravel and sand with little electric diggers.
At weekends and during the holidays in Rhineland-Palatinate, the new Comedy Magic Show takes place in the over 600-seater Forest Theatre. The Children’s Treasure Hunt provides new buccaneer adventures daily around Pirate Square.
The forest adventure trail for schools and nursery schools makes nature come alive. Under the motto “see, feel, realise and understand”, the flora and fauna can be explored interactively. The new barefoot path at the entrance of the nearly 2km-long circular route through the mountain wild park lets you experience the intensive relaxing effect of stone, wood and sand on your bare feet. On the Eifelpark farm, our visitors can compete against each other: in a fun milking challenge with life-size model cows, and in Purzel’s wheelbarrow race.
Enjoy all this and much, much more during you visit to Eifelpark Gondorf!
