Dockendorf

The Chapel of the Sorrowful Mother of God (municipality of Dockendorf) is located on the circular hiking trail no. 89 of the Southern Eifel Nature Park. The two-axle, three-sided closing hall building was erected in 1870 at the edge of the forest west above the village (source kulturdb.de).

Tower of Bells, Bitburg

The Bitburg Tower of Bells was donated by Bitburg’s Trade Union. At five after the hour, the bells play a German Folk Song. The doors then open up and depict figures of the local tradesmen and their crafts.

Rittersdorf Castle

The nearly 700 year-old water castle is located three kilometers north of Bitburg in Rittersdorf. It houses in the Gothic Knights' Hall, the registrar's office (branch) of the District Administration of the Bitburg region.

Spangdahlem entombment group of Christ

In the chapel there are three sculpture groups: the Entombment group from 1643, the Lamentation, or "Holy Grave" group, and the Resurrection group created in 1750.

The parish and pilgrimage church "Mariä Himmelfahrt" in Auw an der Kyll near Bitburg is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in the Southern Eifel region. It has always characterized the image of the small village in the Eifel with its central, high position in the middle of the village in the Kyll valley.
