We invite interested seniors, who spent their childhood and youth in the 1940s and 1950s, to another meeting at the Kreismuseum in Bitburg to share their memories with us.

The memories will be documented in the museum and, with the participants' consent, published in the local calendar, thus preserving them for future generations.

On June 18, 2025, at 2:30 PM, we would like to discuss the role of music and dance during this time.
What music was popular back then, what role did the radio play, or was music still more often made "live" and by hand? Does anyone still remember the gramophone, the precursor to the turntable? Was there singing and dancing in private family settings, or was that limited to festivities like the fair?
