Under the title "O Come Emmanuel," the Liebfrauenkirche in Bitburg invites you to a contemplative musical introduction to the Advent season on the first Advent Sunday, November 30, 2025. The two church choirs Bitburg and Fließem, under the direction of Manfred Kochems, will present atmospheric Advent songs in multi-part arrangements by Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn, and other composers, transforming the anticipation of Christmas into sound.

The choir will be accompanied by a small orchestra, which will also perform additional chamber music works by Telemann and Corelli. Soprano Ljudmila Schuler will further enhance the Advent atmosphere with a heartfelt aria. All musical pieces will be accompanied by the organ, thus combining singing, instrumental art, and spatial sound into an impressive overall experience. The concert starts at 5:00 PM.

Admission to this concert is free; at the exit, donations are requested to support church music.
