Chris Hopinks meets the Young Lions

The renowned jazz artist Chris Hopkins is happily returning to Bitburg. In the fest hall of Haus Beda, he will herald the musical spring with the Young Lions and their joint program "Swing into Spring."
The German-American multi-instrumentalist is among the most sought-after artists internationally. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with jazz stars such as Scott Hamilton, Butch Miles, Till Brönner, and Götz Alsmann. Equally skilled on piano and saxophone, he impresses with his musical creativity and immense drive. He has participated in over 50 CD productions, many of which have received prestigious awards. Recently, he was honored for his contributions to classical jazz in Europe with titles such as "Keeper of the Flame" and the coveted "Jazz-Pott Award" as "Best Progressive Artist."
"The Young Lions" are young talented jazz musicians that Hopkins discovered during his teaching activities. The audience can expect a spectacular show featuring swing classics from Louis Armstrong to Sinatra, with melodic and lively songs, as well as surprising changes in instruments and line-ups.
The concert is held in collaboration with the Jazz-Initiative Eifel e.V.
