GENERAL
Experience the Orient like in a fairytale, who doesn't dream of that? It is the ancient stories from 1001 Nights that have inspired the imagination of young and old for generations. Exotic settings, brave heroes, enchanting beauties, thrilling adventures – too good to be true? No, not at all – those who wish can now experience this dream of the Orient up close: "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" has been newly created as a family concert by storyteller Alexandra Eyrich and pianist Nadine Schuster, inviting their listeners to a fantastic journey into the land of 1001 Nights with all their senses.
PROGRAM
“Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves” is a staged storytelling concert that allows the audience to experience the magic of the Orient in a narrative and musical way with great empathy. The red thread revolves around the probably most famous treasure cave in literary history, which dynamically develops from the longing for wealth to greed and betrayal, ultimately culminating in a profound realization.
“COME, COME, WHOEVER YOU ARE - THE CARAVAN EXCLUDES NO ONE. EVEN IF YOU HAVE BROKEN YOUR OATHS, PERHAPS TEN THOUSAND TIMES - COME, COME ONCE MORE…”
Humor, depth, dynamism, musical diversity, and a responsible approach to the literary source, as well as the selection of atmospheric original sounds from the Orient, form the guiding principles of the program. The event lasts about 50 minutes. Upon request, a signing session will be held afterwards.
