Geocache am Waldboden

geocaching

Geocaching is a modern treasure-hunt using GPS-technology. The goal is to navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the container (called "geocache") hidden at that location. Playing this game is a great way to discover the culture and nature of any region.

Geocaching was originally developed to be played by adults, but today there are also some caches that are aimed towards kids.

GPS-devices can be rented at the tourist information centre for 7,50€/day.

All geocaches in the Eifel region are listed on www.geocaching.com

We can recommend the following geocaches for beginners:

Bitburger Königswäldchen (ca. 3 km / 60 min) |  Die blaue Feder (ca. 5 km / 3 h)  |  Dreh Dich! (ca. 2 km / 90 min)  |  Fidei (ca. 7 km)  |  Geschichte (ca. 2 h)  |  In und um Ittel (ca. 5 km)  |  Kylltaler Buntsandsteintour (ca. 18 km)  |  Stark wie ein Baum (ca. 5 km)  |  Vormärz (ca. 2,5 km)  |  Zauberwelten (ca. 4 km)
