Fruit is not just for eating. That’s something you’ll learn from a visit to one of the 200 distilleries in the southern Eifel!

For more than 25 years we have been engaged in the direct marketing of poultry in our own farm store and since 2006 also in the farmer's market hall in Bitburg. Our family business is in the second generation here in the Eifel. Since 2013 we belong to the regional brand Eifel and are regularly controlled whether their regulations are also kept. Since we keep our animals directly on the farm, we can guarantee short transport routes and stress-free slaughter.

Farmer's Market Bitburg

‘From the Eifel for the Eifel’ is the Farmer’s Market slogan. Since 2006, locals and tourists alike have been purchasing local agricultural products directly from its producer.

Brennerei Matthias Schmalen

Matthias and Gertrud Schmalen have been running a distillery in Idesheim in the Eifel region for about 20 years now. They produce about 20 different brandies and 10 different liqueurs themselves.
