Devon Trail
Waxweiler
On this route, the beauty of the landscape with its rough rocks and the deep river valleys never fails to impress time and again. This is a result of the geology of this vibrant landscape. The river Prüm has carved its way into the earth over millions of years, producing a multifaceted landscape with its tributary streams. Panoramic views open out from the Marian column on the Eichelsberg hill and from the Trielsberg hill. The idyllic Wahlbach valley, the picturesque Mühlbach valley and the pristine Dierbach valley still radiate an unspoilt charm. Narrow paths offer a sense of adventure. However, Waxweiler itself with its Südeifeldom church and the Devonium, where you can experience the world as it was 400 million years ago with all your senses, makes this tour a real all-round experience.
