50 Jahre Haus Beda in Bitburg

Kulturzentrum Haus Beda

2:00 PM

Zeitgeist: The 1970s - with photographic works by Volker Hinz, building plans by Ilse and Bert Emmerich and photographs by Bitburg photographer Matthias Heinzsas well as design, fashion and music

The current art exhibition ends on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Journalistic black-and-white photographs from this period by *stern* photographer Volker Hinz tell stories and are thus valuable historical documents.

Photographs by the renowned Bitburg photographer Matthias Heinz (1929–2009) are on display, including images of Haus Beda and other events in Bitburg and the surrounding area. These photographs come from the Stephan Garcon Archive.

Models, original plans, and photographs of Haus Beda—which opened in 1976—illustrate the skill and distinctive style of architects Ilse and Bert Emmerich.

The exhibition is rounded out by several exhibits, such as clothing, shoes, furniture, and Franz Beckenbauer’s original jersey from his time in New York.

Opening hours are: Tue–Fri 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. | Sat–Sun 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.haus-beda.de
