Pilgrimage trail - circular route around Speicher

The Speicher local group of the Eifelverein maintains a well-marked network of hiking trails in a varied landscape with a total length of 144 km. You will find an overview board of the routes at the Lermesbrück car park.

Passing the biotope of the Eifelverein, the route leads to the Marienkapelle chapel near Preist and continues via Orenhofen to Auw an der Kyll, where processions to the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary have been taking place for 250 years on the first Sunday after "Krautwischtag" (15 August).
The trail continues along a narrow path to Preist and along farm roads back to Speicher.
