Description

The Kyllburg Art Trail is a project that, much like “Land Art,” brings art and landscape into harmony.

For several years now, a 3-km-long route in Hahn Forest Park featuring more than 30 sculptures and installations by various artists has been planned and created each summer. The artworks are based on the principles of the “Land Art” movement. This movement emerged in the 1960s and uses nature both as a material and as an exhibition space. Twenty-five artworks from previous years are still on display. The installations and sculptures are made—where possible—from ecological and natural materials. The art objects are created by the participating artists
specifically for the Kyllburg Art Route. In this way, the objects blend into their respective locations or tie in with local myths, stories, or
traditions. The route can be visited free of charge. In addition to the installations and sculptures, there are several small musical or theater-style activities throughout the year.
There are also small exhibitions in the city’s storefront windows, created by residents as well as artists.

Each artwork is marked with a QR code that links to information on the website: www.kunstroute-kyllburg.de.
