From the starting point, turn right into the road uphill. The path leads through the holiday home complex. Here there are always beautiful views of the lake. 
It continues uphill a little further. Surrounded by meadows, fields and forest, the idyllic Eifel landscape can be enjoyed here.
In good weather, the summit cross on "Ringelstein" offers a fantastic view over the Bitburger Gutland. The striking tower of the Bitburg brewery can be seen in the distance and, in perfect weather, the view even reaches as far as the Hunsrück. The trail leads back along agricultural paths to the reservoir. 
There is a kiosk at the start/end point. Food and drinks are available there. There is a children's playground as well as the opportunity to go for a ride on the lake in a pedal boat.
