The "Binsfelder Bähnchen" was a narrow-gauge railway that ran from 1900 to 1965 between Philippsheim railway station, Herforst and the clay pits near Binsfeld.
Binsfeld. It transported passengers in both directions as well as
clay and brick products to Philippsheim. After the discontinuation of the
the line was converted into a cycle path. Locomotive "2" stands today in Binsfeld in front of the old engine shed.
The circular route follows the railway line from Philippsheim through the Kallenbach valley to the country road to Beilingen and leads across the opposite side of the valley and through the Malscheid district past the Kreuzkapelle chapel back to Speicher.
