Description

Includes refreshments during the hike, a hiking guide, and a regional meal after the hike

On this hike through the diverse landscape around Ehlenz and Heilenach, we set out toward the idyllically situated Schäfersmühle. From there, we follow the gently babbling Ehlenzbach, whose unspoiled banks exude a very special sense of tranquility. At the northernmost point of our tour, we cross the stream before the trail leads us leisurely through the forest to the hills above Heilenbach.
Passing the small chapel, we discover the charming village before the landscape opens up. Vast meadows and fields line our path and reward us with magnificent views. On a clear day, the view extends all the way to Bitburg, which rises on the horizon. A short while later, we enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Ehlenz below us, before the trail leads us gently downhill back to the starting point.
