Volksfreund-Wandertag in Bitburg-Mötsch

Three tours, one meeting point – Volksfreund Hiking Day is coming to Mötsch On Sunday, September 20, 2026, it's time to put on your hiking shoes and head to Bitburg-Mötsch for the Volksfreund Hiking Day 2026!    

Start and finish is at JEDERMANNS - the community center in Bitburg-Mötsch, Am Kindergarten 8. After greeting at 10 a.m., the hiking guides will start three varied rounds at 15-minute intervals:

5.6 km: Nature for all - the barrier-free forest and meadow round - marked in blue

10 km: Kylltal round - nature and cultural romance - marked in purple

13 km: Airfield round - history of the Air Base era - marked in yellow.

Anyone who wants to start later can also walk the marked paths independently.

In any case, a visit is doubly worthwhile, as a colorful program will be offered on site:

Food, cakes, and drinks for your physical well-being, entertainment is provided by the music club, the dance group, a children’s bouncy castle, and the Volksfreund mascot Lucky.

A nice incentive - those who participate in the Volksfreund Hiking Day also support a good cause. This is made possible by Sparda-Bank Südwest. For each participant, the prize savings club donates ten euros to the non-profit organization Nestwärme. The more people set out on September 20, the greater the support will be.
