Bitburg plays - and you play along!

From 11:00 - 18:00, Bitburg is transformed into a huge play paradise for young and old. More than 40 exhibitors invite you to join in, discover and inform yourself with a variety of activities.
The organizers - the Bitburg Trade Association, Engagierte Stadt Bitburg e.V. and Stadtmarketing - combine the idea of a lively club festival with a creative hands-on and games concept for all generations.
From the Haus der Jugend Bitburg to the Maximiner-Wäldchen, visitors can expect a varied program with many exciting adventure areas:
Creative&Crafty
A large marble run workshop, nesting box construction, crafting gliders, upcycling activities and many other creative offers invite you to get involved.
Sport&Action
Whether it's 3x3 basketball, a halfpipe for skaters, wheelchair basketball or a companion dog course, bouncy castles, boules and much more. - Here, the joy of movement and team spirit are not neglected.
Thinking&Strategy
A large chess board measuring 2 x 2 meters, intercultural games and giant Scrabble offer challenges for clever minds and curious explorers.
Engagement&Together
A special focus is on topics such as sustainability, dental hygiene and offers for the prevention of loneliness - important impulses for a strong togetherness.
Music&Culture
Music and dance are of course a must. Young talents can get to know various instruments or dances from the trainers.
Dinos&Romans
A giant Apatosaurus is a real eye-catcher and Roman tours are offered for families.
The stores in the city centre open their doors from 13:00 to 18:00 and also invite you to join in, exchange ideas and take a relaxed stroll.
Music and dance groups will be performing on the "Am Spittel" stage throughout the day, providing great entertainment.
A special highlight is the mascot parade, which parades through the pedestrian zone at 13:30. Various mascots from the region spread good cheer before there is a cheerful meet & greet on and around the "Am Spittel" stage from 14:00.
Another festive item on the program is the awarding of the Volunteer Medal by Mayor Heiko Jakobs, which takes place at around 15:00.
This special event is supported by a strong community: the Bitburg Trade Association, the Bitburg House of Youth, the Bitburg Youth Council, the Engagierte Stadt Bitburg and town marketing. Together, they show how lively and committed Bitburg is.
Of course, there is also plenty of food and drink on offer.
