Anniversary Concert - Johann Strauss Ensemble NRW

50 Years of Haus Beda – A great reason to celebrate this anniversary with music! To mark the occasion, the Johann Strauss Ensemble NRW has been invited to perform. Inspired by Vienna’s glorious musical tradition, the ensemble promises a varied program filled with waltzes, polkas, and famous operetta melodies by Johann Strauss Jr. and his contemporaries.

With virtuosic ease, stylish stage presence, and a keen sense of atmosphere, the Johann Strauss Ensemble aims to captivate its audience—the smaller ensemble size of the Johann Strauss Orchestra NRW, founded in 2021, allows for a particularly intimate concert experience. An ensemble that brings tradition to life and captivates its audience with charm, emotion, and musical brilliance.

Under the baton of Witolf Werner, two vocal soloists will also be featured: Christiane Linke, soprano, and Stefan Lex, tenor. Both perfectly embody the Viennese style of light opera.

The orchestra’s founder, Witolf Werner, was appointed to the Vienna State Opera in 2014 following a long and successful career in theater as a conductor at several German theaters. There, he served as chief conductor of the stage orchestra and also directed the Children’s Opera and numerous concerts.
