French Night - Castle Malberg

The Dutch violinist Marlene Hemmer and the Romanian-Dutch violinist and violist Florin Negreanu form the virtuosic ensemble Duo Fantastique, which presents a repertoire for two violins or violin and viola. Marlene Hemmer began playing the violin at the age of four and has already performed as a soloist with renowned Dutch orchestras. She studied among others with Zakhar Bron and Ana Chumachenco and was concertmaster of the Noord Nederlands Orkest from 2014 to 2021. Florin Negreanu started playing the violin at the age of five and completed his education in Romania as well as his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at CODARTS Rotterdam. He is a soloist, chamber musician, educator, violin maker, and restorer, teaches violin at the Bitburg-Prüm music school, and is the host of the "Alte Schule" in Schüller (Rhineland-Palatinate), where he regularly organizes chamber concerts and realizes artistic projects. Since 2017, the two musicians have been performing together as Duo Fantastique and captivating their audience with virtuosic and imaginative interpretations. The detailed program will follow.
