Gäßestrepper festival
A baptism with a difference
Once a year at the Gäßestrepper festival, deserving personalities are baptized as real "Beberiger" boys and girls! The godparents of the Bitburger Gäßestrepper baptism community pour a secret brew over them, which consists of Kyll and Nims water, Bitburger beer, savory and Batralzem, among other things.
This fun tradition takes place on the 1st Sunday in September on Petersplatz.
