In the German-Luxembourgish nature park, the landscape characterized by massive sandstone massifs appears so bizarre that it can almost only be the work of the devil... but a devil with a sense of adventure for hikers. The Ferschweiler Plateau in the Eifel is wildly rugged at its edges and criss-crossed by deep gorges. In dark crevices and caves, you can learn to respect nature with goosebumps.

Celts and Romans settled in this mystical region, creating mysterious menhirs and burial sites or luxurious villas. Early Christians roamed the forests, settled and proselytized. Massive castles were built in the Middle Ages, which are now ruins, and later graceful baroque palaces were built.

The Felsenland deep in the southwest of the Eifel with its 50 kilometers of rocky paths is a perfect combination of geological history and human culture. Thanks to a free app, audio guides reveal the secrets of the "Green Hell", the legends and smuggling stories in the border region between Luxembourg and Germany on four so-called eavesdropping tours.
