In 1345, King John of Bohemia gave his citizens the right to surround their village of Dudeldorf with a town wall. Already 200 years ago, in 1794, the landowner Jacob Gohs was mentioned in a document as an "innkeeper and landlord". His granddaughter married the brewer and merchant Josef Servetius in 1836. The "Gohs" house, as the hotel is still popularly known today, was a hub of village life. The mail coachmen of the von Thurn und Taxis family stayed there on their way from Vienna to Brussels. The hotel's own brewery, where an ancestor of the Bitburger Simon family learned his trade, supplied the surrounding inns. Alois Servatius laid the foundation stone for the hotel in its current form in 1954. Anita and Marc van Oest took over the hotel in 2006. After a few minor renovations and redesigns of the restaurant, without destroying the traditional atmosphere, the brewery will reopen its doors at the end of April. We want to give our guests the conviviality and security of a romantic, rapturous time to find themselves again. A part of nearby France has remained alive here, carefully integrated into the present. The Brauhaus, a hotel-restaurant for all those who appreciate a special atmosphere in the province. The 15 bright guest rooms have been individually designed and guests do not have to do without modern comforts.

In July 2023, our new "Ferienhaus im Unterdorf" near the Pruem river was completed. It offers space for up to 6 people on 2 floors. 2 holiday flats in the Ferienhaus am alten Kirchturm, Buechelstraße 1:Ferienwohnung Teufelsschlucht, Ferienwohnung Wasserfaelle & Ferienwohnung Am WerthSince August 2023 and June 2024, three more flats are bookable, also located in Irrel's ‘Unterdorf’. Two of them, named after the two natural monuments for which Irrel is famous, are designed for 4 and 4-5 people respectively. The ‘Am Werth’ flat on the ground floor can be booked for 2 people.
