"Best-selling" in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland: Firm as concrete, the new, tenth "Bannalec" also tops the Spiegel bestseller list in paperback. Published in mid-June with an initial print run of 230,000 copies. The books in all 10 Kommissar Dupin volumes thus have a total circulation of 5.2 million copies. With his headstrong inspector and the Breton vacation flair, Bannalec has obviously hit a nerve.

The first nine volumes have been filmed for television (ARD). In the latest "Bannalec," Inspector Dupin investigates on the paradisiacal Belle-Île. The heat wave even has Brittany firmly in its grip. And one morning, a dead man is fished out to sea on the coast near Concarneau, a sheep farmer from the legendary Belle-Île.
